Dementia Behaviour Management Advisory Service (DBMAS)

DBMAS is designed to foster capacity building and sustainability, encouraging the use of a problem solving approach to BPSD management generally associated with tier 4 and tier 5 of the seven-tiered model of management of behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia. DBMAS provide a complete assessment and evaluation where behaviours of concern may impact on care and utilise strategies such as activities and changes to the environment to help minimise or reduce symptoms.

DBMAS Vic offers a multidisciplinary team of nursing and allied health professionals with extensive experience in dementia care. The service is available in home, residential care and other health services. The Grampians Regional worker can also be accessed if a face-to-face assessment is required.
